An instrument used to separate and determine the volume of water, oil and solid in drilling fluid samples. It is the basis for understanding the solid concentration and composition, viscosity and filtration control of water-based drilling fluid.Zng-a type solid content tester can easily
distinguish water, oil and solid components in water-based drilling fluid by heating and distilling with a simple heating rod, and calculate
the volume of each component through comparison. Therefore, the instrument provides a simple, convenient and direct reading method for the determination of the composition ratio of water-based drilling fluid.
Operating principle:
The known volume of water-based drilling fluid sample is heated in the distiller, and its liquid phase components are evaporated and
condensed, and then collected in the measuring cylinder. The liquid volume is directly determined from the readings of oil phase and water phase in the measuring cylinder. The total solid phase volume (suspended and dissolved) is obtained from the difference (total sample volume liquid phase volume). Since any dissolved solid will remain in the distiller, the volume of suspended solid phase must be determined through calculation, and the relative volume of low specific gravity solid phase and weighting material can also be obtained through calculation.
